This is the BRABUS 800 CABRIO. One of the world’s most extraordinary open-top supercars and the ultimate expression of our philosophy: to create icons. Based on the current W 465 series Mercedes-AMG G 63, this limited-edition Masterpiece transforms the iconic off-roader into an exclusive cabriolet featuring a highly complex soft-top system with over 500 newly developed components, exceptional structural rigidity and a brand-typical “Black and Bold” WIDESTAR exterior design. Powered by an 800 hp 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and completed by a bespoke Masterpiece leather interior, the BRABUS 800 CABRIO sets a new benchmark. The conversion of the BRABUS 800 into a Masterpiece convertible is based on state-of-the-art CAD and simulation technology and utilizes high-strength steel to achieve torsional rigidity on the level of the closed G 63. From the outset, preserving the iconic G-Class silhouette was a top priority. To accomplish this, our engineers, technicians and designers developed a highly complex soft-top system consisting of over 500 custom-made components, developed and tested in full OEM quality.

The two-piece soft top opens or closes at the push of a button in just 20 seconds and features a heated safety-glass rear window. A world first, the integrated carbon-fiber surface bow in the front roof segment ensures a stable roof contour and reduced wind noise even at high speeds. At the rear, the soft top transitions cleanly into the body-integrated “C-BOW” steel roll bar, finished with exposed-carbon elements. The rear roof section folds automatically behind the rear seats, and a custom-made tonneau cover protects it when driving with the top down for longer periods.

High-gloss sealed carbon fiber dominates the supercar’s exterior design, including the signature BRABUS WIDESTAR front fascia with enlarged air intakes and front spoiler, the carbon grille frame and the BRABUS Powerdome. From the side, exposed-carbon mirror caps and LED-illuminated WIDESTAR fenders draw the eye, lighting up the robust running boards upon unlocking.

The rear end features a bespoke tailgate designed exclusively for the BRABUS 800 CABRIO, fitted with an exposed-carbon insert and recessed BRABUS lettering. Completing the powerful stance is a full carbon rear fascia, perfectly aligned with the WIDESTAR fenders.

Power & Sound. BORN ICONIC.

Nome est omen. In keeping with decades of tradition for BRABUS supercars, the BRABUS 800 CABRIO also boasts a powerful engine. As the ‘800’ model name suggests, the open-top Masterpiece is driven by a 4.0-liter high-performance V8 producing a peak output of 588 kW / 800 hp and a maximum torque of 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) courtesy of two specially developed BRABUS turbochargers. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via a SPEEDSHIFT TCT nine-speed transmission, which can be shifted either automatically or manually via the BRABUS carbon shift paddles at the steering wheel.

The convertible accelerates from a standing start to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.0 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 240 km/h (149 mph). High-performance lubricants for the engine and drivetrain are supplied by BRABUS technology partner MOTUL.

The valve-controlled BRABUS sports exhaust system provides active sound management for a choice between a subtle engine tone or one more befitting its next-level performance output. The system is a visual design highlight, too, with two stainless-steel tailpipes on both sides of the vehicle, positioned just in front of the rear Monoblock wheels. They are framed by an exposed-carbon trim element with integrated red lighting for an additional, unmistakable BRABUS accent.

WHEELS & SUSPENSION. BUILT INDIVIDUAL.

The BRABUS 800 CABRIO not only impresses visually with its transformation into one of the most exclusive convertibles in the world: the combination of the BRABUS WIDESTAR widebody design and the 24-inch Monoblock ZM “PLATINUM EDITION” forged wheels delivers an instant 1-Second-Wow effect. Manufactured using advanced forging and CNC machining technology, the wheels feature a sophisticated black disc-style design and are fitted in sizes 10Jx24 at the front and 12Jx24 at the rear, paired with specially developed Hankook Ventus Ventus S1 evo ZX high-performance tires measuring 295/30 ZR 24 and 345/25 ZR 24.

Perfectly matched to this setup, the BRABUS height-adjustable sport springs allow a continuously variable lowering of 20 to 40 millimeters (0.8 in. to 1.6 in.) for a more direct, dynamic driving experience.

Interior. ATELIER FUSION.

Inside, the BRABUS 800 CABRIO features a bespoke BRABUS Masterpiece interior designed exclusively for this model. As a contrast to the metallic black exterior, the cabin is trimmed in the finest BRABUS “Oxford Sand” and “Cairos Brown” leathers, meticulously handcrafted in the BRABUS upholstery shop. For maximum comfort while driving open-top, the headrests feature integrated Airscarf systems that direct warm air around the occupants’ heads and necks.

Every detail reflects our typical love for detail, from the precise BRABUS “Shell” quilting on the door panels and floor sections to the perforated seat center sections designed for optimal ventilation, embellished with embossed BRABUS “Double-B” logos.

Illuminated entry panels, various trim elements in the cockpit and BRABUS pedal pads, each made from high-grade exposed-structure carbon fiber, add a decidedly sporty character, while anodized door pins and the unique BRABUS “Easy Entry” hinges, whose unique design allows the rear doors to open up to 90 degrees, complete the luxurious ensemble.
