The BRABUS Shadow 800 came about after the Finnish boat builder Axopar Boats Oy partnered with German automotive engineering company and car manufacturer BRABUS. BRABUS is a world leader in optimizing luxury and performance vehicles. For 40 years, BRABUS has partnered with world-class car manufacturers like Mercedes Benz. With that kind of a resume, it shouldn’t be a surprise that Axopara would want to work with them.

The Shadow 800 lives up to BRABUS’s reputation for luxury and performance. The boat measures 36 feet and 9 inches in overall length (excluding the engines). It has a two-person berth, with an optional aft cabin for two more, and can carry from between 10 to 12 passengers. Often, boats of this size overlook the cabin area, but BRABUS decked this boat out, making the decision of whether to be above or below decks a difficult one, especially with the 42-inch flat screen TV equipped with Apple TV and Fusion sound system in the forecabin.
Twin 400hp Mercury Verado 400R outboard engines power the Shadow to a top speed of over 50 knots. Even novices shouldn’t have a problem piloting this boat, thanks to Mercury 360 Joystick Piloting. Of course, control is made that much easier with the helm console, which provides quick buttons for bow-thruster, trim tabs, and even the audio system. As an option, you can select the BRABUS Touch Control Panel. The display reads out on two 12-inch chart plotter screens.
